Do you feel so passionate about something that you just can’t stop thinking and talking about it?

Eventually it becomes part of the fabric of who you are and then there is no distinction between you and your passion.

Well, this is me and ‘0’ or better known as ‘nothing’. Even though I create artwork to express how I feel about nothing, it comes from a belief deep within me that has grown stronger for the last 9 years. Here’s why I value the power of nothing……

Nothing gives me confidence. Yep, confidence, having confidence in nothing sounds like a contradiction doesn’t it? Let’s look at it from different angle though.

With nothing by my side, I have the confidence to do nothing when I’m asked to do something. For example making a decision. Instead of forcing myself to decide immediately, I wait. I trust that the answer will follow. Not from someone else but from myself.

Doing nothing sometimes is the equivalent of giving yourself some space and time to breathe.

Think of a time in your life when you were facing a decision you wished you had just given yourself a tad more time to come to. Instead, however you made a decision based on what you thought you should do or what you felt was expected of you. The decisions we make in our lives can have a huge impact on our well being. Having the confidence in doing nothing at times, to me, is a form of self-care. It can lead to  making decisions that better serve your well being that ultimately energises you to help those you care about.

So, if you are facing decision. Let it sit with you. Don’t be afraid of nothing. Embrace the inaction and from doing nothing and everything will follow.

If you need some help with doing nothing and want something to inspire you or keep you company whilst doing nothing. Take a look at some of my abstract artwork.

Guess what it’s about? Yep, you got that right.
